RESUMO
O presente artigo, pretende aferir se a transição para uma economia circular (EC) pode ser avaliada através dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), utilizando para o efeito os resultados de um exercício de correspondência entre as práticas de EC e os ODS, que permitiram constatar que as práticas da EC podem, potencialmente, contribuir diretamente para alcançar um número significativo de objetivos dos ODS verificando-se a existência de relações mais fortes entre as práticas de EC e as metas do ODS 6 (Água potável e saneamento), ODS 7 (Energias renováveis e limpas), ODS 8 (Trabalho digno e crescimento económico), ODS 12 (Consumo e produção e produção responsáveis) e o ODS 15 (Proteger a vida terrestre).

Can Circular Economy Transition Be Evaluated Through SDGs?
ABSTRACT
This article aims to assess whether the transition to a circular economy (CE) can be evaluated through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using the results of a matching exercise between CE practices and the SDGs, which found that CE practices can potentially, contribute directly to achieving a significant number of SDG targets, with the strongest relationships between CE practices and the targets of SDG 6 (Drinking water and sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy), SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth), SDG 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and SDG 15 (Life on land).
