RESUMO
No contexto da seca hidrológica de 2024, e tendo em conta a tendência do seu agravamento no futuro devido ao efeito expectável das alterações climáticas, a Águas do Algarve desenvolveu um dashboard para avaliação e acompanhamento continuado e rigoroso das disponibilidades hídricas existentes e dos volumes de água fornecidos às entidades gestoras. Este dashboard permitiu a digitalização e integração, numa única plataforma, da informação relativa à monitorização da evolução das disponibilidades de água nas principais origens superficiais e do abastecimento público da água a partir do Sistema Multimunicipal de Abastecimento de Água em alta do Algarve. Esta ferramenta constitui um importante suporte à gestão da água, permitindo a análise e sistematização do reporte regular a diversas entidades relativamente aos volumes de água fornecidos pela Águas do Algarve para consumo humano e ao esforço realizado pelos utilizadores municipais no sentido de redução dos seus consumos, constituindo assim um exemplo de transparência e de cooperação entre as entidades para o objetivo comum de contribuir para a gestão integrada dos recursos hídricos e a tomada de decisão relativamente ao desafio regional de mitigar os efeitos da escassez de água.

ÁGUAS DO ALGARVE WATER AVAILABILITY AND SUPPLY MONITORING DASHBOARD
ABSTRACT
In the context of the 2024 hydrological drought and taking into account the trend of its worsening in the future due to the expected effect of climate change, Águas do Algarve has developed a dashboard for continuous and rigorous evaluation and monitoring of existing water availability and volumes of water supplied to management entities. This dashboard allowed the digitization and integration, in a single platform, of the information regarding the monitoring of the evolution of water availability in the main surface sources and the public water supply from the Algarve Multimunicipal Water Supply System. This tool is an important support for water management, allowing the analysis and systematization of the regular reporting to various entities regarding the volumes of water supplied by Águas do Algarve for human consumption and the effort made by municipal users to reduce their consumption, thus constituting an example of transparency and cooperation between the entities for the common goal of contributing to the integrated management of water resources and decision-making regarding the regional challenge of mitigating the effects of water scarcity.
